The CMI yearly membership fee is $40.00 for all public employees and governmental retirees (not representing a private organization). If you would like to become a CMI Member or Affiliate Member you may download the membership form and (along with your check), mail it to CMI, 13301 Bailey Bridge Rd., Midlothian, VA 23112. You may also pay by all four major credit cards. **Please note that in order to attend the yearly CMI conference you must be a CMI Member, Affiliate Member, or Exhibitor.
Affiliate membership allows, private, for-profit corporations, architects or engineering firms who work in prisons, jails, or county courthouses and whose responsibilities include capital budgeting, planning, design, construction or maintenance of these facilities. The CMI conferences are the primary means for CMI members and affiliates to share information on vendor products, discuss related issues, suggest new products or improve existing products.
CMI is the only professional organization that deals specifically with facilities-related correctional issues.
You too can be a part of this growing group of prison design professionals by joining today!
With the passing of one of CMI's founding fathers in 2007, the board came to a unanimous decision to create a fund in memory of Bill Harmon that will allow members to receive help to defray the cost of attending the our yearly conference.
All applications are subject to approval by the CMI Board and are on a first come, first served basis. Any person selected to receive a scholarship will receive hotel and airfare reimbursements not to exceed $1,000. Please submit your conference registration and annual membership of $40.00 when submitting your Bill Harmon request.
Bill Harmon Fund request forms along with conference registration forms can be found under the 2013 CMI Conference tab.
Also, anyone that would like to contribute to the Bill Harmon Fund can do so by downloading the Sponsorship form also found under the 2013 CMI Conference tab.
